By now, you have read the previous articles about What you need to start – Basic Crochet Supplies and about How to hold a hook & yarn. In this article, I will try to explain the very beginning of a crochet technique – THE SLIP KNOT & MAGIC RING.
Majority of the projects starts with Slip Knot, some of the round projects (amigurumi, some hats etc. may start with Magic Ring).
Slip knot is releasable knot, which can be undone by pull the loose end of the yarn (the hook is not engaged). It is the very beginning of a majority crochet projects.
